Project “Be Jel”

I want to look like this again. Preferably with my breastfeeding boobs, although those are already fading, so I’ll at least just take the boobs I have now.

But alas, I am not 18 any more (And dude. I’m 10 years older than that and STILL don’t have boobs like Jessica did then. So not fair.), and don’t dance for several hours 5 days a week. So I won’t ever look like THAT again. I mean, I was even tan! wtf.

I would settle for this, though, which was 5 years ago. There isn’t a six pack, but there’s at least like a one pack. Well, I could go for less vampire paleness. But let’s not be picky.

So this is where Project “Be Jel” comes in. When we go to the beach later this summer, I want people to be like “OMG, she has a baby less than a year old? I am SO JEL.” I’m posting these pics to make me accountable. What’s the plan? I’m going to ramp it up a bit in dance class once a week – hopefully that will help my technique and give me the skinnies. I’m also doing a little situp/leg lift routine every night before bed. We’ll see how it goes. I’m back to my pre-preg weight, but that was a little heavier than I’d perfer. And even though I’m the same weight, I’m pudgier. (That said, I am VERY happy with how well the extra 40+ pounds did come off post-baby and am cool with my current body. Thank you, breastfeeding and dance!)

So here is me on Father’s Day weekend. Oh and yes, my top is a Victoria’s Secret top that says “VERY SEXY.” And when my husband saw what it said, he LAUGHED. A+ support system there, folks.

I usually suck it in a bit for posture, but this is a true "before." It's actually kind of hard for me to NOT suck it in. Ballet training FTW!

So…hopefully be jel when I post vacation pics in a few months. Hopefully.

I’ve got one of those pics from when I was 18, too, but it sure doesn’t look as good as yours. But boy oh boy, would I love to have my teenage body back! You’re just about there! Mine is long, long gone. Sad, isn’t it? Ha! ;o)

Well, unfortunately…that beautiful baby you love makes permanent changes to your body. I worked hard and lost the weight after my son…and last summer I was the skinniest I’ve ever been as an adult…but I will never wear a bikini again…unless I have surgery to replace my stomach skin completely. The good news is you can be healthy and toned and in shape….you might just have a few permanently softer spots. And your clothes may never fit the same, even though you are the same weight. Baby changes the inner composition of your fat and muscles somehow. But you’re so active, you can still look awesome in no time. I think you look good now for how little your baby is…Good luck!

I lucked out with no stretch marks or weird skin issues, so if I can get the weight off I think I can get back to that – or something close enough. I just really wish the permanently softer spots were my boobs! lol

Check out myfitnesspal.com it is a great calorie counting site. They even have a smartphone app. I have lost 20 lbs. On it in less than 3 months.
