64 weeks – Happy Rabbit Appreciation Day! Not a new “month” until next week, bc that’s when the 4th falls. She barks at the doggies that bark at us when we take walks and it’s pretty adorable. She’s loving back wraps during walks now, which I love, too. Must have some more teeth coming in, bc she’s all drooly and finger-chewy.

63 weeks – Loves to say “Hi, Dad!!” – but only says “mama” when she’s sad or pissed. Figures. Working on spoon skillz. Also should note that she’s been in the “OMG DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE?!” phase for a few weeks now. No door is safe.

61 weeks – 14 months – The 4th was this past week, so she’s now officially 14 months old! New month, new fabric. Walking all over the place like a [tiny drunk] pro.

59 weeks – Call me maybe? (Whatever keeps her happy during picture time.) – Getting braver about taking steps. Favorite foods: peaches, strawberries, and deli turkey. Occasionally says “Lucy” and “Mama,” and says “hi!!” all the time. About to grow out of those little Levi’s skinny jeans (in 2T!). Had our last swim class until the we sign up again probably in the fall this week, and she loves going underwater. Cracks up every time she comes up!

58 weeks – Happy Valentine’s Day! – Saying “mama,” standing on her own more often, but still not wanting to walk by herself. Have I mentioned that she LOVES to brush her teeth? Working on using spoons…

57 weeks – 13 months, 1 week – using cloth diapers now, mostly just on the weekends so far. Going well as long as I can get Will on board… She is taking a few steps here and there!

56 weeks = 13 months. New month, new fabric! Went underwater a bunch at swim class this week and LOVED it. Took a few steps, but only when she was tricked into it. Slowly working on switching to cloth diapers…eeeeek

55 weeks – 1 year, 3 weeks – pensive baby. in the most adoooorable little Levi’s skinny jeans ever. Liked swim class MUCH better this week. Still won’t walk on her own, even though she TOTALLY could if she would let go.

54 weeks – 1 year, 2 weeks – I should mention that she has been waving for a very long time, and saying “hi” for a while now. She also recently started saying “bye”! Had our first baby swim class!

53 weeks – 1 year, 1 week! I’m going to use the same fabric for a whole month now, since I have to use 2 yards at a time for her to sit, and I have neither money nor space for 52×2 yards of fabric! This was a fun week of pics – she was smiling at Daddy ![]()

side-by-side of 1 week and 1 year

12 months! And pretty goshdarn excited about it!

51 weeks51 weeks – almost a year! Laying on the fabric I picked out just over a year ago for her nursery. Had a great first xmas. Stands on her own now when she doesn’t realize she’s doing it, but sits as soon as she figures out she’s on her own. chicken! Horrible lighting this week bc I forgot until the PM to take the pic (busy weekend!)

50 weeks – Her pose reminds me of her 1 week photo…when she was so teensy! Crap, I guess this should have been Christmas themed fabric?

49 weeks – modeling our lovely new living room rug! She scared the crap out of us last week with a temp of 102+ from a virus, but is feeling much better now. Birthday coming up!

48 weeks – Had our first Battsmas this weekend and opened some presents! One top tooth has broken through. First high fever on 12/11 ![]()

47 weeks – top 2 teeth are coming through like mad, so she’s a stuffy mess. She’s also gotten very attached to her lovey, Flat Cat (pictured), in the past week or so (took long enough). Loving walking around with her walker car and wagon, and doing great with more finger foods.

46 weeks – She enjoyed lots of bits and pieces of Thanksgiving dinner, since we’re working on less baby food and more big girl food. Still only 2 teeth.

43 weeks – had our first Halloween this week, dressed as a chicken. She’s occasionally crawling on her knees now, rather than an army crawl. Loves shredded cheese, but also still her wooden “A.”

39 weeks – 9 months! As long as she was in my belly (she was 5 days late). She finally said “mamamama” from her crib on Saturday morning, and later that day I found her sitting UP in her crib after a nap. She also got those 2 teefies brushed for the first time this weekend (she loved it) and went to her first wedding.

37 weeks – We went to the fair, and when she was feeding herself (like a pro) after we got back, she finally said “mamamamama”! So we’re working on that, plus our waving hi/bye. Happy Fall!

36 weeks – with the Official Size Comparison Shell. I brought a second fabric on vacation, but this is our comforter from the beach house. She had a great time at the beach and enjoys eating sand. She can also now definitely get from sitting to [army]crawling position quickly, but is still working on sitting up from laying down. She is also working on waving “byebye,” which melts my heart.

35 weeks – Because I am the worst mother ever, I forgot to pack the Official Size Comparison Letter for the beach (I *know*!!). So we have the random Official Size Comparison Shell.

34 weeks – Expert Army crawler who is hopefully using her A to grind down her sharp ass teeth. I should note that the little traitor has been saying “dadadada” and “lalalala” for about a month. She can also now do raspberries.

2 bottom teeth have now officially poked through. She also had her first meat today (ew) – blended turkey and rice with veggies.

31 weeks

17 weeks and MUCH better. Alice said she wanted to be in the pic since her name starts with an “A,” too.

15 weeks and her first illness is a doozy: double pinkeye and a cold bad enough to require breathing treatments. Poor baby!

Think I know why you wanted all the fabric. ;o) Ainsley is just so precious. Each pic makes me think it is my favorite. It is fun to watch her growing, BUT, it is happening too fast. Enjoy!!
Yup, that’s what the fabric was for! I’m also planning on using for some dresses after she’s done with each, and maybe a blanket after it’s all done. I’m still a bit short, so I love going to JoAnne’s and getting pretty fabrics on sale for her!
And every subsequent week is my favorite, too
Oh my goodness! I think I could steal her!! ;o)
Looks like she is singing in the 9 weeks pic. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! ;o)
Her “A” is getting smaller. Love her so much!
SO cute! I love all the fabrics.
For those of you that just get to “view” Ainsley~~ If you think she is pretty here, you should see her in person! I was able to finall get that treat of holding her. She is just precious!!
aw, thanks aunt deb
Like the fabric. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the baby!! ;o)

I love that expression on her face in her 4 month picture. Cracks me up!
What a surprise!! We sure did enjoy your visit! ;o)
Lots of drooling going on with those new teeth, I bet. Growing too fast!
I’m so glad that you updated. She is so precious! I check her little corner every time I go to your blog. It’s hard to believe she is almost a year old. It’s fun to compare Gavin’s size with Ainsley’s according to the weeks. He’s 29 weeks old now. Times a flyin’!
I love to look at the pics and compare Gavin to Ainsley. He is now 35 weeks and crawling like crazy. He picked it up so fast! He does a lot of blabbering but have not detected any distinct words yet. “Grammie” is a bit hard to say. Ha! I really do go around saying Mommy and Daddy a lot throughout the day. I remember how good that felt to hear for the first time. Ainsley’s is such a beautiful baby! We can still call her baby and not toddler, right?
I’m still going with baby as long as I can. At least until she’s walking on her own!
