The Prettiest Weed
I know I have spoken of pretty weeds before, but this weed has long been my favorite. The first time I saw it, I think I spent 10 minutes trying to get my camera to focus on the impossibly tiny flower so I could have a photo of it. I bought an echinacea from the Amish/Mennonite dude in the Spring. I have thought it looked funny for a long time, but I finally decided – it is just a weed. I have no idea what happened to the coneflower I hope was at some point in there, but I did get a very tall weed which I cared for for like 3 months. Flowery weeds are sometimes pretty
In walking around the garden over the weekend, I noticed the dreaded chickweed coming out for spring. This weed really isn’t that horribly ugly, it’s just SO pervasive and viney that it’s everywhere until the days get hot enough to kill it off.
